Use the slider at the top of the page to select your budget. The WheelBase will then automatically set an adaptive price range based on the value you select. The WheelBase will not recommend cars under 70% of your specified budget, but it will give you options 10% above your input, so you can see where an extra stretch might take you.
The WheelBase utilizes 5 categories for generating your personal profile. The five categories are:
The performance category takes into account the car's horsepower, torque, weight, and other features to generate a score based on the car's overall performance potential.
The personalization category takes into account many features about the car that can make it feel more luxurious or bespoke to your needs. This can include color options, interior materials, interior options, and more.
The practicality category generates a score for each car based on the number of doors, seats, legroom, headroom, storage space, and more.
The efficiency score represents the gas mileage or electric range of the car. Good gas mileage or a long range on an electric car gets ranked higher.
The safety score takes data straight from crash testing and other safety tests to represent the car's ability to protect the occupants in a collision. It also considers driver safety and assistance features as well. Please note due to the increasing safety features in modern vehicles and little diversity in the safety of cars, the safety score is only 1-5, instead of 1-10.
The body type selector (the images at the bottom of the page) tells the algorithm which body type you would like in your vehicle. There are 9 options, from coupes to large vans.
The region selector is a field that is not required, but since many users have specific regions they might want their car from, we have recently added this option. Click on all regions that you would like a car from, if no regions are selected, this field will be ignored.
